01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located conveniently within Grand Rapids' Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Aletitude Ale House offers travelers a refreshing and satisfying American dining experience paired with an impressive bar selection. This charming spot masterfully blends the comfort of classic American cuisine with a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that makes it the perfect pitstop before your flight.

The menu highlights a well-curated collection of dishes that balance freshness with hearty flavor. Start your day with their delightful breakfast options like the baked egg shakshuka, which bursts with rich, spiced tomato sauce and perfectly set eggs, or enjoy a refreshing parfait layered with fresh fruit and creamy yogurt. For a more savory bite, the breakfast sandwich delivers satisfying textures and bold flavors to fuel your journey.

The bar side truly shines with a carefully rotating selection of draft beers that will please any ale aficionado. From crowd favorites like Bud Light and Modelo to craft standouts such as Sierra Nevada’s Hazy Little Thing and Bell’s Two Hearted, the variety is commendable. Seasonal and rotating taps from local breweries like Perrin and Atwater add a special local touch, making every visit a chance to explore new tastes. Notably, the bartenders put genuine care into each cocktail, crafting margaritas and brews that complement the food and elevate the overall experience.

Aletitude Ale House’s inviting, spacious setting offers enviable views of the airport gates, allowing guests to relax and indulge in people-watching as they savor their meals and drinks. Reviewers have praised the spot not only for its fresh, hot food but also for its friendly and attentive service—highlighted by warm welcomes from servers like Eve and Eric, whose sparkling personalities contribute to the lively, upbeat ambiance.

Don’t miss their sweet ending treat—a moist, flavorful carrot cake that perfectly rounds out the meal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for preflight relaxation, Aletitude Ale House promises an experience that blends comfort, quality, and conviviality in an airport setting that often lacks soul.

For anyone traveling through Grand Rapids, Aletitude Ale House is a standout choice to indulge in American flavors, enjoy quality craft beers, and soak in a spirited atmosphere that makes waiting for your flight something to look forward to.

We enjoyed our time and food at Aletitude. It wasn’t incredibly busy, so service was pretty quick and the food came out fresh. Having visited over the first couple days of being open, there wasn’t yet alcohol. Located in the center of the concourse, it was a fantastic spot for people watching, and gave you the perfect chance to look over the new airport expansion. The food was hot and fresh, although lacked some of the unique qualities of your standard restaurant. While it wasn’t outrageous, it was somewhat expensive. Nothing to get overly excited about but worthy of a stop if you’re feeling hungry.

Conveniently located at terminal A, clean and spacious. The smoked salmon BLT was good, a bit salty but obviously expected of the BLT. Service was quick and friendly.

Shout out to Eric. He was the bartender (supervisor too?) here. Super personable guy. Made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable while waiting on my delayed flight. Great sense of humor. Really great having him. The food was delicious. I had a chili-crisp hummus and a chicken bacon flatbread. The former was a combination that I didn't expect, but it was great. and a chicken bacon flatbread. The drinks were good too. Nice and chill. The customer service by Eric was superb.
